How I can help

A technology entrepreneur, educator, public speaker, board member, and advisor.

As an educator, I am the Vice Dean at Drexel University’s Charles D. Close School of Entrepreneurship. I get to develop and run many great initiatives while doing some teaching and running our great startup incubator, the Baiada Institute for Entrepreneurship
As an entrepreneur,  I’ve founded and helped launch several startups and products in the fields of enterprise software, business process management, and mobile apps.  One of those, PhindMe, has an interesting story here.
As a public speaker, I’ve been fortunate to talk about mobile technologies, intrapreneurship, and mid-career entrepreneurship (drawing on my experiences profiled in Fortune Magazine). I’m especially proud to have had the opportunity to address a Congressional Briefing Panel on inequities in funding for minority and women-led tech startups.
Volunteer and service: I am a Venture for America Philadelphia Regional Advisory Board Member, a founding member of the Philadelphia Regional Entrepreneurship Education Consortium, a Fulbright Specialist, an editor for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Exchange, and a board member for the Private Investor Forum, which runs the Angel Venture Fair in Philadelphia. I am also a member of AccelHub Venture Partners, which supports startups in Latin America who are seeking capital and resources to expand into the U.S.
I was also the president of Mobile Monday Mid-Atlantic, a volunteer-run non-profit focused on providing education, resources, and networking to professionals working and interested in the mobile technology space, holding a status at its peak as the fourth-largest networking organization in the Philadelphia region.
I have a personal mission of supporting and developing entrepreneurs and helping to build diverse local and international entrepreneurial ecosystems, with a particular (though not exclusive) interest in Latin America.
